Editor's note: We are publishing in full statements issued by various groups and institutions in support of ABS-CBN Corp., which went off the air on May 5, 2020 following a cease and desist order from the National Telecommunications Commission. The company's franchise expired on May 4, while bills for its franchise renewal, some filed since 2016, continued to languish in Congress.

I am one with the public in urging the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) to reconsider its ill-timed cease and desist order and allow ABS-CBN to continuously operate.

There is more than enough basis in policy, practice, administrative due process and equity to support the continued operation of the network while the House of Representatives is still hearing the convoluted issues surrounding its franchise application.

More importantly, we are in a state of emergency. If WE ARE TO HEAL AS ONE, we need all helping hands and sectors on deck.

In these challenging times, we need to unite for the greater good.

DIVIDED, WE FALL.
