MANILA - Ride-hailing firm Grab on Friday launched a voters' information campaign along with the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in preparation for the upcoming mid-term polls.

The #OneDestination campaign aims to curb voter "misinformation" and to encourage Filipinos to vote on May 13, Grab Philippines said in a statement.

Under the campaign, select GrabCar units will have stickers and flyers for voter education. Its pool of "influencers" will also engage in discussions to help debunk "voting myths" to encourage more people to vote, the statement said.

The ride-hailing firm also committed to provide access to polling precincts on election day. Voters in Metro Manila and Metro Cebu can avail of a P50 discount on their way to polling stations using the GrabShare discount code ONEDESTINATION, the company said.

"As Grab, our role goes beyond providing safe, seamless and reliable services to our customers but to also cultivate a sense of community and unity among our fellow Filipinos," Grab Philippines president Brian Cu said.

Cu said the ride-hailing firm also has a long-standing partnership history with various government and non-government organizations such as the Philippine National Police - Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG), Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), among others.
