READ: Duterte's Executive Order on enhanced and general quarantine areas

MANILA- Parts of the Philippines on Friday shifted to a general community quarantine as the government eased restrictions even as the coronavirus pandemic persists.

Only Metro Manila and 8 other areas will remain under lockdown until May 15 as studies showed that these places were at high-risk of a coronavirus outbreak.
