MANILA - The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in Quezon City is now at 1,302, the city government said Thursday, citing Department of Health (DOH) data.
In an 11 p.m. bulletin, the city government said 229 patients have recovered from the disease, while 128 others have died.
The number of COVID-19 cases with complete addresses in Quezon City is now at 1,138, the city government added.
Of this number, the Quezon City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit and district offices have validated 961 cases so far.
Active cases in the city is at 604.
Barangay Batasan Hills continues to have the most infections with 50, followed by Matandang Balara (38), and Culiat (37).
Meanwhile, District 4 has the most COVID-19 cases among the city's 6 districts, with 254.
The city government has placed 34 barangays under "extreme enhanced community quarantine" due to the number of COVID-19 cases in the areas.
The national government earlier further extended the enhanced community quarantine in Metro Manila and other regions for another two weeks while placing other areas under different general community quarantine.
The Philippines has recorded 8,488 coronavirus disease cases, of whom 568 died while 1,043 recovered.
