COVID-19 cases in Mandaluyong reach 407

The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in Mandaluyong City reached 407 as of Thursday, the city public information office said.

The city government said 68 patients have recovered from the disease, while 35 others have died.

Barangay Mauway has the most COVID-19 cases with 56, followed by Addition Hills with 54, and Highway Hills at 45.

The number of probable cases in the city is at 1 while the suspected cases is at 710.

The public information office said probable and suspected cases continue to receive food and cash assistance while under home quarantine.

"Ang mataas na bilang ng ating mga case ay dahil sa pinaigting na contact tracing na patuloy na ginagawa ng ating City Health Department sa pakikipagtulungan sa [Department of Health]," the city government said.

The national government has extended the enhanced community quarantine in Metro Manila and other parts of the country for another two weeks while placing other areas under general community quarantine.

The Philippines has recorded 8,488 coronavirus disease cases, of whom 568 died while 1,043 recovered.
