MANILA - The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in Quezon City has risen to 1,261, the city government said Monday, citing Department of Health (DOH) data.
In a bulletin released 11 p.m., the city government said 155 patients have recovered from the disease, while 125 others have died.
The number of COVID-19 cases with complete addresses in Quezon City is now at 1,033, the city government added.
Of this number, the Quezon City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit and district offices have validated 850 cases so far.
Barangay Batasan Hills still has the most COVID-19 cases with 47, followed by Matandang Balara with 35, and Culiat at 31.
Meanwhile, District 4 has the most COVID-19 cases among the city's 6 districts, with 213.
The city government has placed 34 barangays under "extreme enhanced community quarantine" due to the number of COVID-19 cases in the areas.
The national government earlier extended the enhanced community quarantine in Metro Manila and other regions for another two weeks while placing other areas under different general community quarantine.
The Philippines has recorded 7,777 coronavirus disease cases, of whom 511 died while 932 recovered.
