Mindanao State U, UPLB grads top electrical engineer board exams

MANILA - The Professional Regulation Commission announced Thursday that 1,600 out of 2,548 registered Electrical Engineers and 2,093 out of 3,728 registered Master Electricians passed the Electrical Engineer Licensure Examinations given earlier this month.

Christian Yecyec Cahig, of Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology, and Clark Sigmund Rabano de Castro, of University of the Philippines Los Baños topped the Registered Electrical Engineer exam with a rating of 93.5 percent.

UP Los Baños was this year’s top performing school in the Registered Electrical Engineer exam with a 100 percent passing rate.

MASTER ELECTRICIAN LICENSURE EXAM

Meanwhile, Kenneth Martija Bolima and Aldwin Plata Mercado of De La Salle University-Lipa placed first in the Registered Master Electrician exam with a rating of 94 percent.

DLSU-Lipa was the top performing school in the Registered Master Electrician exam with a 98.96 percent passing rate.

Meanwhile, 49 candidates passed the Technical Evaluation for the Upgrading as Professional Electrical Engineers conducted this month.
