MANILA - Vice President Leni Robredo turned 55 years old Thursday as she continued to oversee her office’s fund drive for fighting the novel coronavirus pandemic, which has so far raised P55.8 million.

Robredo posted “55M @ 55♥️” on Facebook, with a breakdown of donations from various sources, including P5.99 million from her office.

The Vice President had partnered with private groups to give fronliners free shuttle services, dormitories, around 15,400 care packages, and some 88,000 sets of safety gear.

Robredo's office is also working with local designers and doctors to manufacture protective suits.

“Ang patuloy na suporta sa frontliners, posible dahil sa bayanihan!
Taos-puso po ang aming pasasalamat sa pagpapaabot ninyo ng tulong sa ating mga frontliners,” the Office of the Vice President said on Facebook.

(Continued support for frontliners is possible because of bayanihan. We sincerely thank you for sending help to them.)
