MANILA—A magnitude-4.2 earthquake struck Sultan Kudarat Thursday night, the Phivolcs said.
The tremor happened at 7:06 p.m., 6 kilometers southeast of Columbio town.
It was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 9 kilometers, according to the Phivolcs.
Instrumental Intensity II was recorded in Kidapawan City.
The tremor is not expected to cause aftershocks. No damage has been reported so far.
