MANILA - A total of 574 land- and sea-based overseas Filipino workers arrived in Manila on Tuesday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.
The group includes 233 OFWs from Jeddah and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia and 341 Filipino seafarers of cruise ship Costa Smeralda from Marseilles, France.
The DFA said it expects 35,000 more OFWs to come home, appealing to them “to strictly observe and comply with the quarantine procedures imposed on all returning OFWs by the IATF.”
The repatriates were subjected to mandatory health assessment of the Department of Health's Bureau of Quarantine (DOH-BOQ). They will undergo a 14-day facility-based quarantine and be subjected to Rapid Antibody Testing for COVID-19.
