More details are likely to be available today after Monday’s Luzon quake. Here are the stories making the headlines on ANC today:

Tremor in Luzon
As of Monday night, authorities are still getting a complete picture of the damage and casualties from the Luzon earthquake. There are reports of damage in Pampanga and other parts of Central Luzon. The Clark International Airport also sustained damage. ANC will continue to provide the very latest updates on the damage from the earthquake. President Duterte could check on the damage.

Matrix loaded
Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo said the information on the “Oust Duterte plot” matrix came from the president himself and hence, should be believed by the populace. Many of those in the list are journalists. Veteran journalist Ellen Tordesillas will be on "Early Editioon." Members of Bayan Muna will hold a press conference at 9 a.m. on the inclusion of their names. President Duterte will be attending a 4 p.m. event at the PICC. He might touch on the subject in his speech.

Focal forums
Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will give a keynote speech on the second day of the Boao Economic Forum in Manila. And President Duterte is due to attend the Belt and Road Initiative Forum in China that starts on Wednesday. Will more trade and investments from China trump concerns on increasing Chinese intrusion in the South China Sea and the Chinese workers in the country?

Election tremors
President Duterte is scheduled to make an appearance at a PDP-Laban rally in Bataan at 6:30 p.m. Expect fireworks again from his speech. Opposition candidate Mar Roxas will be in Tacloban. What kind of reception will he get there from residents in light of his actions after Yolanda?

New breed
Single-term councilor Vico Sotto wants to take Pasig from the hands of the Eusebios on his own terms: with only the faintest help from his famous folks. ANCX joins the 29-year old on the campaign trail and meets a kind of Sotto we never knew existed.
