MANILA—The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority will not implement the number-coding traffic scheme for all public utility vehicles (PUV) for Tuesday, April 23.
This is to assist commuters who might be affected by the temporary closure of the Light Railway Transit and Metro Rail Transit lines.
According to the Department of Transportation, LRT Line 1 and MRT-3 temporarily suspended operations to facilitate structural inspection following the magnitude-6.1 quake that hit Luzon.
Operation of LRT Line 2 will resume on Tuesday, as authorities have finished their inspection on said line.
"Structural inspection for LRT-1 and MRT-3 are ongoing, and resumption of operations will be announced as soon as the necessary assessments are completed," DOTr said.
MRT-3 and the LRT Line 2 stopped operations for the rest of Monday, while LRT Line 1 temporarily suspended its operations, after a strong quake jolted the capital and nearby areas.
