MANILA - (UPDATED) Pampanga Governor Lilia Pineda said at least 2 people were reported killed in the province following the magnitude 6.1 quake which hit Luzon island.
According to Pineda, a woman and her grandchild in Lubao town died after a wall collapsed on them.
A four-storey building in Porac town also collapsed, with some people trapped inside.
Around 20 people have been rescued from the building so far, but there were still people trapped inside, she said.
Old churches in Porac and Lubao were also damaged.
Pineda also said there was still no power supply in parts of the province, which was affecting rescue operations.
Meanwhile, 30 people were reported injured, according to Police Regional Office 3.
Of this number, 15 people were from Angeles City and 13 were from Lubao town. One was reported injured in Porac and another in Mabalacat.
Seven structures were also reported damaged, including the Bataan-Pampanga Boundary Arc, San Agustin Church in Lubao, and Mabalacat Elementary School in Mabalacat City.
