MANILA- The government warned Monday against discrimination and violence on workers in the frontlines of the country's coronavirus disease (COVID-19) fight.

Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles urged the public to report to the National Bureau of Investigation incidents of violence and discrimination against COVID-19 frontliners.

"Ang lahat ng uri ng pananakot, diskriminasyon, at pananakit sa ating mga frontliners ay may karampatang parusa. Puwede niyo pong ireport sa NBI kung ikaw man ay nakaranas o nakasaksi ng mga ito," he said.

(Scaring, discriminating, and hurting our frontliners will be met with a corresponding penalty. You can report such cases to the NBI.)

Nograles said the public can report such incidents to the NBI via the following hotlines:

GLOBE: 09664723056
SMART: 09617349450
REGIONAL NUMBER: 09751539146
LANDLINE: (02) 852 40237

The Cabinet official also lauded local governments for passing ordinances or resolutions banning discrimination against COVID-19 frontliners.
