The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) is studying possible assistance that it could give children of coronavirus patients as well as those whose livelihood were affected by pandemic, the agency’s head said Monday.
“Pinag-uusapan naming ‘yan. Nag-iisip kami kung ano ang puwedeng stimulus package na gagawin,” CHED Chairman Prospero de Vera told DZMM.
(We’re talking about that. We’re thinking what type of stimulus package we can make.)
De Vera said help may be given to children whose parents were infected with the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) as well as overseas workers and middle-class Filipinos whose livelihood were affected by the lockdown.
“Baka magbigay tayo ng student loan, halimbawa, para sa mga bata para may pang-tuition sila at least next semester,” he said.
(Maybe we can give a student loan for children so they can pay their tuition at least for the next semester.)
