MANILA - The number of COVID-19 cases in Quezon City has risen by 26 to 1,042, the city government said Saturday as it tallied 4 new recoveries from the respiratory illness.
As of 11 p.m. Saturday, the most populated city in Metro Manila reported that 87 patients have recuperated from the disease, while the number of fatalities remained at 90.
Barangay Batasan Hills still has the most COVID-19 cases with 36, followed by Matandang Balara with 30, and Culiat at 26.
Meanwhile, District 4 has the most coronavirus cases among the city's six districts, with 183.
The city government has placed 3 more villages under "extreme enhanced community quarantine" due to the number of COVID-19 cases in their areas, bringing the total to 34.
Metro Manila and the entire Luzon, home to about half of the country's 100 million people, is under lockdown until April 30 to contain the pandemic.
The Philippines has so far recorded 6,087 cases of COVID-19, with 516 recoveries and 397 deaths.
