MANILA--Quezon City on Friday confirmed 20 more cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), bringing the local tally to 1,016.
At least 848 of that number have a complete address in the city, officials said in a statement.
Out of the total COVID-19 cases in Quezon City, 517 of them are active.
The city reported 7 new recoveries, bringing that sum up to 83.
Ten more deaths were also logged in Quezon City, which now has 90 fatalities.
The city government has placed 31 barangays under "extreme enhanced community quarantine" due to the number of cases in their areas.
Batasan Hills has the most COVID-19 cases among Quezon City barangays with 36, followed by Matandang Balara with 30.
Meanwhile, District 4 has the most coronavirus cases among the city's districts with 180.
On Saturday, the city's Fresh Market on Wheels project will be traveling to barangays Mariblo, Commonwealth, Masagana, Quirino 3A, Escopa 1, Escopa 2, Horseshoe, UP Campus, Sauyo and Balon Bato to deliver meat and vegetables to residents who can't get out of their homes.
