MANILA - The city of Manila recorded 24 more cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on Wednesday, bringing the capital's total tally to 368.
Manila Mayor Isko Moreno said in a live Facebook video that 255 new probable patients of COVID-19 in the city were also logged by the Department of Health.
The Sampaloc district still has the most cases in the city with 85, followed by Tondo 2 with 41.
Intramuros still has no cases of the coronavirus.
As of Wednesday, the Philippines had 5,453 COVID-19 cases with 353 recoveries and 349 deaths.
The Philippines now has the most number of cumulative confirmed COVID-19 cases in Southeast Asia. It is only second to Indonesia in terms of the number of fatalities. However, it has also been recording more recoveries starting this week.
