Duterte arrives in Hong Kong

MANILA - President Rodrigo Duterte arrived in Hong Kong late Tuesday evening after attending an international economic forum in the southern Chinese province of Hainan.

Duterte, together with his daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, and grandson Stingray, arrived in Hong Kong at 11:34 p.m.

The President was received by Philippine Consul General in Hong Kong Antonio Morales and Deputy Consul General Roderico Atienza.

Fiona So, chief officer of the visits section of Hong Kong’s protocol division, and Honorary Aide-de-Camp Lam Kam-Kwong also welcomed Duterte.

Duterte will have his private time in Hong Kong today until Thursday evening, when he is expected to meet some 2,5000 Filipinos living in the Chinese special administrative region.

Before departing for China, Duterte said he will report to Filipinos in Hong Kong “the developments at home and listen to their concerns and also their hopes.”

Duterte is expected to fly to Davao City on Thursday evening and arrived at his home city by Friday midnight.
