MANILA (UPDATED) - Results for the University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT) 2019 was released Monday, with the online viewing seeing hours of delay due to "technical difficulties," the state-run school said.
The list of successful applicants was first posted at the UP System Office of Admissions at the Diliman campus in Quezon City, the university said in its website.
Around noon, a copy of the UPCAT results became available for online viewing at upcat.up.edu.ph.
The online viewing was earlier delayed for a few hours due to "some technical difficulties as we shift to a new system," said UP.
Last year saw UP taking in a record number of examinees, with 167,000 applying for academic year 2019-2020.
UP Vice President for Public Affairs Jose Dalisay Jr. previously said UP's free tuition policy led to the spike in the number of applicants.
