MANILA - The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao has confirmed 6 cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), according to health officials.
It also reported 196 persons under investigation (PUI) and 7,221 persons under monitoring (PUM) as of March 30.
The region has allocated P155 million for its local government units after tapping into its emergency funds, to fight the fast spreading COVID-19.
Five provinces will receive P5 million each, 3 cities will receive P2 million each, and 116 towns will receive P1 million each, officials said.
At least 63 barangays in North Cotabato will also be given P8 million in total to fight the virus.
As of Tuesday, the Philippines has recorded more than 2,000 cases of COVID-19, with 88 deaths and 49 recoveries, according to the health department.
