MANILA - Lights went out across the nation Saturday as Filipinos participated in the annual Earth Hour.

With a message of "Ayoko ng Plastic" (I don't like plastic), the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Philippines urged the public to avoid using plastic materials which are detrimental to the environment.

In Makati City, the Far Eastern University Bamboo Band opened the Earth Hour 2019 program led by WWF Philippines.

In Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, members of the lightsaber community also celebrated Earth Hour.
