MANILA--The right side of a C-130 plane of the Philippine Air Force burst into flames as it prepared for takeoff at the Clark International Airport in Pampanga, Wednesday.
The fire struck the plane's landing gear around 7 a.m., Air Force Spokesman Major Aries Galang told radio DZMM.
The flames were quickly extinguished and no one was hurt in the incident, he said.
The aircraft was brought to the Air Force's maintenance hub.
Authorities were still investigating what caused the fire.
