MANILA - Tropical storm Caloy has left the Philippine area of responsibility, state weather bureau PAGASA said Tuesday night.
In its 11 p.m. advisory, PAGASA said Caloy was spotted 1,020 kilometers east northeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur. It is packing maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph.
Caloy is forecast to move north at 15 kph.
The tropical storm, with international name Jelawat, entered the Philippines early Tuesday.
