The Western Visayas has 2 new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the region's Department of Health said Tuesday, raising its total to 4.
A 61-year-old woman from Iloilo City and a 45-year old man from Jamindan town, Capiz were identified as the two new COVID-19 cases in the region.
According to the DOH-Region 6, both patients have history of travel to Manila, one of the regions severely hit by the disease in the Philippines.
Health officials said they are in stable condition.
Earlier, two people from Bacolod City and Guimbal town, Iloilo were confirmed to have the coronavirus.
The country has recorded 552 cases of the fast spreading disease, including 35 deaths and 20 recoveries, as of Tuesday. -- Report from Regi Adosto, ABS-CBN News
