KORONADAL CITY — A fire razed an auto supply store in Morrow Street, Barangay Zone 2 here early Sunday morning.
Fire volunteers and members of the Bureau of Fire Protection were able to control the blaze and declared fire out 45 minutes after the fire started.
Senior Inspector Reginald Legaste, the city's fire marshal, said his department is treating the incident as arson.
Four unidentified men were caught on closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera arriving at the store and starting the fire.
"Inclined kami to pursue the angle na it is intentional," Legaste said.
Lalaine Moreno, the store secretary, said the owners are currently assessing which among their supplies can still be sold.
No one was reported injured in the fire that destroyed more than P5 million worth of auto supplies.
The incident is the 2nd fire recorded in the city this month.
