Brothers arrested in Imus for allegedly selling illegal drugs, firearms

Two brothers accused of selling illegal drugs and loose firearms were arrested in Imus, Cavite, Monday morning.

CIDG-Anti Transnational Crime Chief Supt. Roque Merdeguia identified the suspects as Lhar Anthony Dayacap and Ernie Boy Dayacap from Barangay Buhay na Tubig.

The arresting unit applied a search warrant from the NCR Judicial Region Branch 89.

Police seized drug paraphernalia, marijuana and an improvised caliber-38 revolver.

Merdeguia said authorities conducted surveillance of the two suspects since early March.

Police also recovered two endangered species of turtles.

The suspects face charges for violating the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Law, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, and the Marine Wildlife Act.
