Four members of the Maute group were arrested in Lanao del Sur early Thursday morning, the Western Mindanao Command reported.
Arrested were Pao Panganga, alias Pao Faizal; Alex Areg Bagul; Alisata Tumao Maute; and Saadra Macapanton Madayan.
Three high-powered firearms, a pistol, improvised explosive devices, and drug paraphernalia were confiscated from them.
The suspects were allegedly wanted for kidnapping for ransom, acting as guns for hire, carnapping, extortion, and their involvement in the illegal drug trade in Lanao del Sur and Lanao del Norte, the military said.
The military added that the four were also tagged as suspects in the murder of police superintendent Abner Wahab Santos, the former city director of Marawi City.
Panganga is alleged to have been involved in a series of kidnappings in Marawi, notably the March 5 abduction of Omira Lotao, an employee of the Mindanao State University.
