NORTH COTABATO - Anti-narcotics police arrested 11 suspects during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Dalingaoen, Pikit, North Cotabato Friday.

During the operation, carried out with a search warrant from a local court, authorities seized over 250 grams of suspected 'shabu,' estimated to be worth P1.5 million, a 45-caliber pistol, and several ammunition from 3 houses.

Joint forces of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-12, Cotabato Provincial Police Office and 7th Infantry Battalion led the operation against suspects Manggigin Padian and Cabagil Guiamadel, both accused of selling illegal drugs.

One of the arrested individuals was said to be Padian but the suspect claimed he was Bitoy Kaludin. Guiamadel meanwhile evaded arrest. Other suspects have yet to be named.

PDEA-12 Director Gil Castro said police also recovered a "blue book," which contained significant information about the group's illegal drug trade transactions.

Cotabato Police Provincial Office Director, Senior Superintendent Emmanuel Peralta said the suspects were new in the area and had been staying for only about 5 months.
