MANILA—A 4.6-magnitude earthquake jolted Pangasinan Saturday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
The tectonic tremor struck at 8:13 a.m. approximately 8 kilometers east of Bani town with a depth of 25 km.
Here are the reported intensities:
Intensity IV - Bani and Sual, Pangasinan
Intensity III - Alaminos City, Bolinao, and Lingayen, Pangasinan
Intensity II - Dagupan City and San Carlos City, Pangasinan
Intensity I - Baguio City; Villasis, Pangasinan
Instrumental Intensity II was felt at Dagupan City.
The Phivolcs said damage to structure and aftershocks were not expected.
Two more "moderately strong" earthquakes were recorded by the Phivolcs afterward.
A 4.2-magnitude earthquake that jolted Davao Occidental at 06:42 p.m. and a 4.7-magnitude quake struck off Eastern Samar at 06:51 p.m.
There were no reported intensities felt in the area.
Damage to structure and aftershocks are not expected as well.
