At least 1.5 kilograms or 10 million worth of illegal drugs, and a firearm, were seized from an alleged lawless group in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay on Wednesday.
Police said three search warrants were served on three different Tenan village houses owned by Jumli Samdami, Faisal Enriquez, and Benjamin Calon Hassan.
Samdani and Enriquez were not at home but 22 sachets of illegal drugs and some drug paraphernalia were recovered at their houses.
Hassan was cornered by authorities inside his house, where illegal drugs were also seized.
Authorities however failed to arrest other suspects, Muneb Enriquez, who was charged with murder, and Faizal Morabbil, who was implicated in a robbery case.
An armed man who was at the area, identified as Nicanel Maningo was also arrested.
In a report, Western Mindanao Command said the three arrested were allegedly connected to Barahama Alih group, a notorious kidnap-for-ransom group operating in Western Mindanao.
