MANILA- President Rodrigo Duterte extended on Thursday the suspension of classes in Metro Manila up to April 12 as a precautionary measure against the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
“The suspension of classes in all levels in Metro Manila is hereby [extended] until April 12, 2020,” the President said in a televised public address.
He urged students to study instead from the comforts of their homes.
Duterte earlier announced the suspension of classes in all levels in Metro Manila from March 10 to 14 to protect students from the virus.
