If the recent hike in cigarette prices doesn't dissuade smokers from taking up the harmful habit, the Department of Health hopes its latest batch of gory warning labels plastered on cigarette packaging would.

The Graphic Health Warnings Law, which took effect on March 3, 2016, requires cigarette manufacturers to redesign every 2 years warning labels accompanying their products, a move the government hopes would encourage smokers to kick their vice.
