MANILA - The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Wednesday raided a mall here where several stalls sold fake luxury bags and other leather goods.

A representative of luxury brand Louis Vuitton accompanied the operatives in implementing the search warrant against owners of a stall marked "5" on the third floor of Robinson's Place in Ermita.

The stalls have allegedly been selling counterfeit goods for the past 7 years, officials said.

Dozens of counterfeit Louis Vuitton bags, wallets & other leather goods were confiscated.

The items will be submitted to the court as evidence, and it will be up to the judge to decide if the items will be destroyed, officials added.

When sought for comment, a Robinson’s Place Manila representative said the administration would prepare a statement.
