NUEVA VIZCAYA - Illegal drugs estimated to be worth P400,000 were confiscated in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Bambang town, Sunday.
Officials arrested suspect Jessie "Jetong" Tabing, 47, after he was caught selling a plastic sachet containing suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as "shabu."
At least 74 more grams of illegal drugs, assorted identification cards, and a mobile phone allegedly used in drug transactions were confiscated from his possession after thorough inspection, officials said.
Tabing, who was considered a high-value-target, has been under surveillance for a month prior to the operation, PDEA Cayagan Valley regional director Laurefel Gabales said.
Charges have been filed against Tabing for the sale and possession of dangerous drugs.
