MANILA — Presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte on Wednesday gave her two cents on Kris Aquino's current beef against senatorial bet and former presidential aide Christopher "Bong" Go.
During an ambush interview, Duterte was asked to comment on Aquino's Instagram post where she called out Go over his campaign skit with the actress' former partner Philip Salvador.
But Duterte, whose regional party Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HBP) endorsed Go's Senate bid, assured that the former presidential aide will no longer include the skit after Aquino took offense.
"I'm sure ngayon na nagsasabi na 'yung object ng kanilang skit na she is offended, I'm sure they will listen because they are that kind of people na they are aware sa mga kailangan nilang gawin. So I'm sure they will stop those jokes," Duterte said.
Aside from Go, the 13-member Hugpong slate is composed of Senate reelectionists and returnees Sonny Angara, Pia Cayetano, JV Ejercito, Jinggoy Estrada, Koko Pimentel, Bong Revilla and Cynthia Villar. New names in the lineup are former Philippine National Police director Ronald dela Rosa, Rep. Zajid Mangudadatu (Maguindanao), former reporter Jiggy Manicad and former MMDA chair Francis Tolentino.
Aquino had earlier said that she's willing to campaign for Go way before he confirmed his plans to run for the Senate.
