Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte - A construction worker was hacked by a senior citizen in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte on Thursday, police said.

Renato Cadalena, 44, suffered multiple wounds in his head and his body after he was attacked by 62-year-old Carlito Managa.

Police said the two were having drinking spree with other men when the victim allegedly provoked the suspect.

Fritz Tabula, chief of PNP-Pasuquin.

Managa tried to keep his distance from the victim but the victim allegedly continued provoking him.

Cadalena is now in a stable condition in the hospital but refused to give any comment on the incident.

Managa, meanwhile, regrets the act and said he got pissed off. He will be charged with frustrated homicide.
