Firearms seized from guards tagged in killing of Negros farmers

Firearms were recovered on Thursday inside the bunkhouse of the security guards tagged in the killing of four farmers in Barangay Napacao, Siaton, Negros Oriental on Wednesday.

By virtue of a search warrant issued by Judge Gerardo Paguio Jr. of Regional Trial Court Branch 7, authorities searched the house of Roswil Antanoy, one of 5 suspects who allegedly killed 4 farmers when they were harvesting sugarcane yesterday. 

Authorities recovered one caliber .45 pistol, 9mm Luger sub-machine gun, .38 caliber revolver, magazines and ammunition believed to be the firearms used in killing the farmers.

Senior Supt. Edwin Portento, acting director of Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office, said they will be filing a complaint of multiple murder, physical injuries and illegal possession of firearms against the suspect.
