MANILA - Personnel of the Bureau of Customs assigned at a cargo company's warehouse at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport intercepted firearms misdeclared as solar panels and tool cart.

Airport Customs District Collector Carmelita Talusan told ABS-CBN News that they discovered 8 pieces of Glock 19-9 millimeter, 20 ammunition magazines, and 266 pieces of ammunition in a package bound for Taiwan.

Talusan added, the package did not have the necessary import permit from the Firearms and Explosives Office of the Philippine National Police.

Authorities are currently coordinating with DHL Cargo Company to identify the owner of the intercepted package.
