MANILA - The MRT suffered another glitch Sunday morning and had to unload around 150 passengers.

A southbound train had an electrical failure at the Buendia station at 5:51 a.m. Sunday, the MRT said in a statement.

Its passengers were had to take the next train 13 minutes later.

The MRT-3 has encountered numerous glitches this year, although the government said the train system has had fewer issues since the DOTr took over repair its repair and maintenance.

Some 500,000 commuters use the MRT-3 every day to travel on EDSA, Metro Manila's busiest thoroughfare.
