MANILA - A 4.0-magnitude earthquake jolted Sulop, Davao del Sur early Tuesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The tectonic tremor struck at 1:51 a.m. at about 8 kilometers west of Sulop town with a depth of 2 kilometers.
The quake was felt at Intensity II in Magsaysay, Davao del Sur.
Instrumental intensities were also recorded:
- Intensity IV - Tupi, South Cotabato
- Intensity III - Malungon, Sarangani
- Intensity II - Kidapawan City; Koronodal City
- Intensity I - Alabel, Sarangani
Phivolcs said no damage nor aftershocks are expected.
