The Sandiganbayan has thrown out former senator Juan Ponce Enrile's bid to dismiss his pork barrel scam cases.

The anti-graft court said the information on the charges against Enrile constitute the crime of plunder.

Enrile is accused of accumulating P172.8-M through the illegal diversion of his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF), also known as pork barrel.

Enrile earlier claimed that the charges against him were indefinite, vague and fatally insufficient even if supplemented by a bill of particulars.

He also argued that a bill of particulars should indicate how the alleged kickbacks were received.

Enrile questioned the validity of the bill of particulars, saying that the files of PDAF scam witness Benhur Luy were questionable.

But the anti-graft court found no merit in Enrile's arguments.

Enrile surrendered to authorities on July 4, 2014, but was allowed to post bail on August 20, 2015.
