QUEZON CITY- Jinky Sta. Isabel, the wife of embattled SPO3 Ricky Sta. Isabel, said she is willing to go to jail just to have an audio recording, which she claims will prove her husband's innocence, played at the senate.
She added that her husband Ricky, is also willing to go to jail just to prove his innocence in the kidnap-slay of South Korean businessman Jee Ick Joo.
"Actually willing naman po ako magpakulong ng six years para lang malaman yung katotohanan. Ganun din po yung sinabi ng asawa ko para maplay lang po yung usapan namin ng kanyang boss na si Atty. Rafael Dumlao III," Jinky said in a press briefing at the Public Attorney's Office Friday.
(I am willing to be jailed for six years just so that the truth will be known. That is also what my husband said just so that my conversation with his boss Atty. Raphael Dumlao III will be played.)
Jinky claims that the audio recording will prove Ricky's innocence and will reveal that Police Supt. Rafael Dumlao III, team leader of the PNP anti-illegal drugs group, is asking Ricky to kill policemen from Pampanga.
On Thursday, the Senate public order committee refused to play audio recordings being presented by Ricky, despite repeated appeals.
The said audio recordings are reported to be conversations between Dumlao and Jinky.
Senator Panfilo Lacson, who chairs the said committee, also barred Jinky from joining the hearing, dismissing her claims as merely "hearsay."
