The Internet Crimes Against Children Unit of the PNP Women and Children Protection Center (WPC) has arrested a suspected pimp for allegedly selling a 15-year-old boy to a foreign pedophile.
Suspect Joselito Villanueva was arrested by police in a hotel in Taguig City after a poseur buyer negotiated for the service of the boy.
WCPC said the German Federal Police reached out to them when they arrested a German pedophile in their country.
German authorities traced the foreigner’s pornographic materials which consisted of photos of minors in the Philippines.
According to WCPC head Chief Supt. William Macavinta, the German police identified the facilitator as Filipino.
“Nakita nila sa mga images na na-recover, na mayroong mga ganito sa Pilipinas. Na-trace nila na ang mga victims dito na involved ay mga Filipino at yung facilitator ay nandito sa Pilipinas,” Macavinta said.
Authorities said the children are offered to foreigners through Facebook and pedophiles travel to the Philippines to meet the children.
When the price is set, the pimp arranges the date and time when the pedophile can come and avail of the services.
“May instances na kailangan ng live, show kung ano ang pini-perform, ino-open nila for sexual sevices, pag nagkasundo na, nagkausap, nagse-set ng mga date, dumarating sila,” Macavinta explained.
The suspect refused to give any comment.
Villanueva will be charged with violation of the Expanded Anti Trafficking in Persons Act and Child Abuse.
