The wife of a Maute terror group member was arrested around 3 p.m. Tuesday at Barangay Rosary Heights 3, Cotabato City.
Najiya Dilangalen Karon Maute was nabbed based on Arrest Order No. 2 issued by the Department of National Defense last June 5, 2017.
Maute, a 37-year-old civil engineer contractor, is one of the individuals listed in Arrest Order No. 2 for violation of Article 134 or Rebellion.
According to officers of the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP CIDG) in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), Najiya was the wife of Mohammad Ayam Romato Maute, a member of the Maute terror group who died in the Marawi siege.
Information gathered by authorities say Najiya is a niece of former Congressman Didagen Dilangalen.
Najiya is now detained in PNP CIDG-ARMM.
Three days from now, Maute will be brought to Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
