SAN NICOLAS, ILOCOS NORTE – Two guest relations officers (GRO) and a man were arrested in separate buy-bust operations conducted by the anti-narcotics team of Philippine National Police of San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte this weekend.
Maribel Gacho, 38, a native of Marikina City and her board-mate's boyfriend Henry Pamilacan, a resident of Barangay Balacad, Laoag City were first arrested in Gacho’s boarding house in Barangay 4, San Nicolas on Saturday after they were caught selling one alleged heat-sealed sachet of "shabu" to a cop who went undercover as a buyer.
Police also recovered from Gacho’s possession 1 plastic sachet containing shabu, and 2 plastic sachets from Pamilacan.
Other pieces of evidence were also discovered from Gacho’s room such as glass tooters, lighters, and used sachets of shabu.
Meanwhile, another GRO, 27-year-old Mary Jane Valdez, a native of Pamplona, Cagayan and presently residing in Barangay 7, San Nicolas was also arrested for selling illegal drugs.
Valdez was caught selling one plastic of shabu worth P500 by police assets in Barangay 7, San Nicolas on Sunday.
One bundle of small transparent plastic sachets believed to be used for packing shabu and 1 small plastic sachet containing shabu were also confiscated from her possession.
Police believe Gacho and Valdez, both in the town’s drug watch list, were partners in illegal drug trade in the town of San Nicolas.
Illegal drug-related charges have already been filed against the 3 arrested suspects who denied all the allegations against them.
