MANILA - President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed a new Sandiganbayan associate justice, a document released by the Palace on Wednesday confirmed.
In an appointment paper dated June 8, 2018 but was only released by the Palace on Wednesday, Duterte named Ronald Bautista Moreno as Sandiganbayan Associate Justice.
Moreno replaces Alexander Gesmundo who was appointed by the President as Supreme Court Associate Justice.
Moreno, formerly a Makati judge, was chosen over Makati Regional Trial Court Judge Gina Bibat-Palamos, Sta. Cruz, Laguna RTC Judge Divinagracia Bustos-Ongkeko and Ligao, Albay RTC Judge Edwin Ma-alat.
Meanwhile, Duterte also appointed Aldwin Alegre as deputy commissioner at the Bureau of Immigration, replacing Aimee Torrefranca-Neri.
