MANILA- Just call him "Mar."

This is how former senator Mar Roxas wants Filipinos to address him as he seeks a Senate comeback.

Asked during DZMM's "Ikaw na Ba? Senatorial Candidates' Interview" on how he wants Filipinos to call him, Roxas playfully answered: "Hindi naman pwede Brad Pitt kaya Mar na lang."

Roxas, who topped the 2004 Senate race with his moniker "Mr. Palengke," added that he thinks Filipinos know him by his name well enough already.

"Palagay ko kilala naman akong Mar kaya Mar na lang," he said.

Roxas earlier said he is banking on his credentials as a public servant for his 2018 election bid.

"Wala nang chale-chaleco, wala nang kulay-kulay. Basta eto yung ideas ko, ito yung kakayahan ko, karanasan ko, ito 'yung kakayahan ko. Sana tulungan niyo rin ako," he said when he filed his certificate of candidacy in October 2018.

An opposition stalwart, Roxas is among the probable winners of the upcoming May elections, landing in the 8-15 bracket of a recent Pulse Asia survey.
