SAN JUAN - A drug group member considered to be the 2nd-highest value target in La Union was arrested during a buy-bust operation by police Wednesday night.
Investigators said that Sison is a member of the Macato Drug group, which distributes illegal drugs in La Union, up to Laoag, Ilocos Norte.
He had been a drug surrenderer in San Juan, La Union.
According sa suspect, sa Taguig siya kumukuha ng drugs," said Police Chief Inspector Juanito Buarron Jr., officer-in-charge of the San Juan police.
Four sachets suspected to contain methamphetamine, locally known as shabu; buy-bust money; and drug paraphernalia were recovered from Sison's possession.
Sison was allegedly the one who gets drugs from Manila, which he will distribute in San Juan, Buarrin said.
Sison denied any involvement in the illegal drug trade, and was detained at San Juan police office as of this writing.
