MANILA (2nd UPDATE)—A soldier, his wife and their child were wounded in an explosion inside their apartment unit at Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City on Sunday, the military said.

According to investigators, the explosion happened at the quarters of Staff Sergeant Larry de Guzman following a "heated argument" with his wife, according to Armed Forces spokesman Brig. Gen. Edgard Arevalo.

The wife and the 11-year-old son sustained shrapnel wounds from a hand grenade and were brought to V. Luna Hospital for treatment, Arevalo said.

De Guzman, meanwhile, sustained bruises while their 5-year-old daughter was unharmed, he added.
